Well I must have a permanent writers block, because I have never finished a story since high school. I only finish it when it impacts my grade.

Really? Hmm, interesting.

I've got a bunch of stories that I'd like to finish but just don't have the drive to. Part of it is writer's block and part of it is just laziness.

I write myself into a corner, by adding in things that can't be explained, causing me to have to dumb it down, and ruin the story. Can't have large plotholes. lol.

Yeah, I'm kinda that way, too. I usually try to avoid plot holes as well, and several years ago, I was obsessed to the point of wanting to go back and rewrite all my stories and fix things that resulted in plot holes, which would take a lot of work. I realized how much work that would be and how kind of pointless it would be, so now I don't care that much about my old stories and leave them as they are, as it makes them more interesting in a sense. When I write new stories, I try from the start to avoid plot holes.

Speaking of plot holes, though, you pointed out one to me where things became normal for John and Lauren but nobody ever teased John about his confession note he left in the gym. And I also remember writing about when the toilet exploded and then put itself back together for no reason. I still don't have an explanation for that except that it was just a supernatural occurrence to move the story in the direction I wanted it lol.

Maybe the toilet was clogged with... poopy diapers, and the poop somehow ignited, and blew up the toilet. I don't know.

It's kinda disappointing that the only thing I can write involves people somehow magically switching gender. I need to force myself to write other stuff.

Maybe, but I kinda think magically changing gender is interesting in the sense that it's mysterious and shocking and maybe more "exciting."

But it's been done so much, it is now considered cliche. You write what you can write though, and that is what I write.

Yeah. It is kind of a shame when stuff becomes cliche, though. It's like you want to write your own story and be original, but there's a million other stories with only slight differences (character names, city names, etc.), so there's hardly any point.
